Cypermethrin is an efficient pyrethroid insecticide, which has contact poison and stomach poison functions and has no systemic action or conduction effect in the plant. It has large range of influence, and has excellent prevention effect on various insects in crops such as cotton, fruit trees and vegetables, with long lasting period, quick action and rapid knockdown speed on insects. The temperature has large effect on drug action.  
Common name: Cypermethrin  
English name: Cypermethrin. Barricade. Basathrin. Cymbush. Cymperator. Ammo. Anomethrin  
Physicochemical properties:  
Chemical formula: C22H19Cl2NO3  
Molecular weight: 416.32   
Property: industrial product is sticky solid with color ranging from yellow to brown, and it becomes a sticky liquid at 60℃.  
Melting point: 60-80℃  
Relative density (water=1): 1.1   
Vapor pressure: 2.3×107Pa at 20℃  
Volatility: it is stable to light, and suffers weight loss gradually when the temperature is more than 220℃, and it is stable in the weak acid and neutral condition, and it decomposes in alkali, and the half life of hydrolysis is one day.  
Solubility: it is hard to dissolve in water and the solubility in alcohols, chlorinated hydrocarbons, ketones, cyclohexane, benzene and xylene is larger than 450g/L.   
Flash point: 80℃  
Oil-water partition coefficient: the logarithm of octanol-water partition coefficient is 6.3.  
Risk: the substance will decompose into cyanide gas once it is heated over 220℃.
